Row Counter if needed

Abbreviations :K = Knit
P = Purl
CO = Cast On

C8B = slip next 4 sts on cable needle hold at back of work, knit next 4 sts, than knit 4 sts from cable needle

P2tog = purl 2 sts together
tog = together
rep = repeat

{p2tog, k same 2tog} = p2tog without slipping sts off needle, then k tog the same 2 sts - # of times

Pattern Instructions

CO 24

Row 1 : k to end.
Row 2 : k1, {p2tog, k same 2tog} - 6 times, p8, k1, {p2tog, k same 2tog} once
Row 3 : k to end.
Row 4 : {p2tog, k same 2tog} - 6 times, k1, p8, {p2tog, k same 2tog} - once, k1.
Row 5 : k3, C8B, k13.
Row 6 : k1, {p2tog, k same 2tog} - 6 times, p8, k1, {p2tog, k same 2tog} once
Row 7 : k to end,
Row 8 : {p2tog, k same 2tog} - 6 times, k1, p8, {p2tog, k same 2tog} - once, k1.
Row 9 : k to end.
Row 10 : k1, {p2tog, k same 2tog} - 6 times, p8, k1, {p2tog, k same 2tog} once
Row 11 : k to end.
Row 12 : {p2tog, k same 2tog} - 6 times, k1, p8, {p2tog, k same 2tog} - once, k1.

Rep these 12 rows for desired length of scarf.
End with the 12th row.
Knit one row (RS)
BO (WS)

Finishing

Weave in ends.
Add fringe if you like.
